New Augmented Reality Center Supported by Epic Games

The Augmented Reality Center (ARC) at Oakland University in Michigan is a partnership between the university, the College for Creative Studies (CCS), and various industry stakeholders. It is supported by Epic Games through the MegaGrant program. The goal is to work with faculty and industry experts to introduce students to the use of real-time technologies in manufacturing. The “fourth industrial revolution” is creating new job profiles that require augmented reality expertise, Epic writes. By working with educational institutions, the industry hopes to create a growing pool of skilled workers for these fields.
